*DMTR

I'm so excited!! This thursday I'm gonna have "DMTR" tattooed on my left hand. And the following saturday the third session of my back will take place. That means all the grey areas are gonna be tattooed and some lines will be thickened. When I have pictures, I'll put 'em up!

Hey people,

All the inks on the seven sins are ready! Whoohoo! I have to get the last one, Pride, scanned and then finish all the colours for all seven pieces. I already finished Gluttony ofcourse but i'm a bit tired of cellshading. I like the colours of the Karin pinup more, so I'm gonna color Gluttony all over again. Guess I'll take that one last. I'm busy with Wrath right now, just trying some things.

Also, I may have told you that I got really inspired by an interview with Mike Mignola. He tells that he collects folkstories from all over the world and lets them inspire him for Hellboy stories. So I wanted to give it a try and went to a second hand bookstore in my hometown. I found a book full of stories from people who claimed to have seen witches or the devil or both. Every story takes place in the region I live in. Some woman went from town to town in the 1950s and interviewed old folks that had such stories to tell. Funny thing is that's it's all written in the dialect they speak in this region. So some stories are hilarious and some are really freaky.
Anyway, I want to take a couple of those stories and translate them into one page thingies. Really rough ashley wood style in inks. See where that goes.

I'm going back to Sanguis too. I left it sketching for page 6 and tonight I'll start layouting the page.

That's about it! Oh yeah, and I'm totally hooked on Guitar Hero 3.

Hey people,

It's time for an update again. What's on my mind lately? Well, ofcourse the seven sins pinups are almost ready in ink. I'm gonna start the last one, Pride, this week and hope to finish it next week. Then it's coloring time. I'm already coloring Lust at the moment, in between things.
Next to those pinups I'm also working on a pinup of a friend of mine. Once I have a scan of that I'll post it here with her permission. I'm very happy with it so far.

Other news is my backpiece. I went to the tattoo shop two weeks ago for an hour or two and now there's a lot more color (black) in it. So it's not only lines now.

Unfortunately, in the same week I had a panic attack at work, so I realized my sort of burn-out is not over and I have to be very careful with all the things I want to do during a week. I tend to stuff a lot of activities in a day and hardly take time for some rest. That's eating me alive, I guess, so I have to change some things.

Oh, and another things is that the same friend I'm making a pinup of handed me a sketchbook from Joe Capobianco, a tattoo artist, in which he explained why he sketched with colour pencils instead of black. He mainly uses red, blue and green for sketching and I gave it a try. Works like a charm! Very easy to have some sort of layered sketch without having to use my light tabel every time. Maybe it's something for you guys too.

So I'm a little nervous as i'm sitting here waiting for that moment i have to leave the house to get to the tattoo shop. Today we're gonna start the mega huge piece that will fill my entire back. That's gonna be sore in the morning!!
